Summits & Stones is a simple travel site. We don't run analytics, we don't use tracking cookies, and we don't collect personal data through the site. Here's what that means in practice.

Cookies and storage

This site doesn't set any cookies. We don't use Google Analytics or any other tracking or advertising scripts.

Hosting

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type so it can send the page to you. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs for security and operation. We don't use them to identify visitors.

Fonts

Our fonts are stored on our own server, so no font requests go to Google or any other third party.

Maps

Some articles include a route map. To show it, your browser loads the map library from unpkg.com and the map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which means those services receive your IP address. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.

Instagram videos

Our Instagram reels are not loaded automatically. Nothing is sent to Instagram until you click a video to play it. When you do, Instagram (Meta) may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy.

Pinterest buttons

The "Save" and "Pin this guide" buttons are plain links. No Pinterest script runs on our pages; Pinterest only receives data if you click a button and go to Pinterest.

Affiliate links

Some links are affiliate links to booking sites such as Booking.com or Hotels.com. If you click one, you leave our site, and the partner may use cookies to register that you came from us so we can earn a commission. That happens on the partner's site and is covered by their privacy policy. More about our affiliate links.
